brief: Craft a potty chair that work seamlessly for both toddlers & their parents

Potty chairs serve as an important stepping stone from diapers to the “big-kid” bathroom. Both parties experience stress in potty-training. Parents are the “support staff” who need the portability of a back handle for emergencies, as well as reliable aim when emptying the bowl. Toddlers are learning a new skill, and want comfort cues like soft curves and side handles to feel stable. With the success of the potty chair, we developed an accompanying step stool with the same comfort cues.

The potty chair has been honored on many parenting lists, including Mother & Baby Awards 2019!

From the outset, we interviewed parents about their potty training experiences, and we asked toddlers to try samples and give critical feedback! Too cute.
